Raphaela Wagner awarded an advancement award by the Kulturstiftung St.Gallen

The St. Gallen Cultural Foundation honored seven filmmakers for bold visions, personal styles, and cinematic skill. These prizes are both recognition and motivation for professional artists with strong creative potential. With this honor, the St. Gallen Cultural Foundation celebrates the filmmakers’ outstanding contributions to cinema and supports them in their ongoing artistic journey.

New short film “To Catch a Siren” has wrapped production!

After four days in Cornwall and two days in a swimming pool, we have wrapped production on “To Catch a Siren”. From underwater filming, working with children as young as six to managing two camera units and wild tides, it’s been a challenge and a joy, gaining a wealth of new experiences.

“To Catch a Siren” won the Grand Prize of the Shore Scripts Fund 2024, and is being produced by the UK company The Developing Room alongside our German co-production partner M&H Productions.

The film is now in post-production and aiming to hit the festival circuit towards the end of the year!

Raphaela Wagner’s concept for a historical drama feature film “S’Hatili” wins the SG Treatment Award.

Based on a true story, “S’Hatili” is set in 1816 eastern Switzerland during what has become known as “the year without summer”. Against all odds the 15-year-old girl Hatili takes upon her an excruciating journey across Switzerland in the hopes of escaping starvation.

After substantial research and development work, the full treatment now entitled “Die Wolkenweberin” (The Mist Weaver) was backed by the Federal Fund of Switzerland in March 2025. Produced by Ventura film s.a. the project is currently at script-stage.
